On the day of your driving test the normal procedure is to have a 1 hour lesson before your test (Don`t forget to bring your licence), We then arrive at the test centre 10 minutes before your test and wait for the examiner in the reception area at Meridian Leisure Centre in Louth.

On the walk to the car the examiner will ask you to read a number plate from 20 metres (Eyesight test) and will also ask you a couple of safety questions, one of these will be a ‘tell me’ question which will be asked before you start to drive while the second question will be a ‘show me’ question which will be asked while you are driving – for example showing how to wash the front windscreen using the car controls and wipers. (All this information will be provided many weeks before your test).

The test will last for approximately 40 minutes in which you will be asked to drive on various roads. You will be asked to complete one manoeuvre which will involve reversing plus maybe the emergency stop. You may be asked to complete a 20 minute drive by following a Sat Nav or your Examiner may ask you to follow road signs for approximately 20 minutes. Your test will finish back at the leisure centre where the examiner will give you the result of the test when hopefully you should have your independence..

I had wanted to learn to drive for a couple of years but was to nervous and never had the courage to do it, until I met jack. I cannot recommend him enough. He made me feel at ease and very relaxed. He took his time to explain everything and is very patient. Within a few months of me learning to drive with jack Westerby I passed my test first time with only 3 minors. If you’re looking to learn to drive jack Westerby is definitely the man to do it.

I really enjoyed my driving lessons with Jack Westerby, he was very patient with me and also calm and encouraging when I made mistakes! Jack Westerby was very easy to talk to and made learning to drive really fun.Not once did he ever shout or criticise me when I did something wrong he just told me what I should do to improve. Whenever I had a question about driving, he always gave good detailed answers. His knowledge of driving is amazing I recommend Jack Westerby to anyone, especially if you are nervous about learning to drive as my confidence grew with every lesson before my test. Passed first time and would highly recommend.

I was a very nervous driver and I have attempted 4 previous times with various instructors over the past 10 years and never felt confident or ready. Ben from Maidenhead recommended you and I took the step to trying again to drive. Jack had the patience of saint and never rushed me, allowed me to get comfortable being behind the wheel. I had 23 hours of lessons. I felt relaxed and safe and so happy I now have a driving licence thanks to Jack! It feels like I have always been driving.
